Foreign spouses of Sri Lankan Citizens and their dependents are eligible for this visa. The Spouse Visa is issued only in Colombo by the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
- Marriage certificate attested by a competent authority in Sri Lanka or abroad in support of the marriage
- Completed Application form
- Birth certificate of Sri Lankan spouse and if the person is citizen by registration, copy of the citizenship certificate
- Passport or National Identity Card of Sri Lankan spouse
- If divorced, divorce decree. If spouse deceased, death certificate
- Consent letter of Sri Lankan spouse
- Applicable government visa fee
Children if not Sri Lankan, following documents required:
- Birth certificates of children
- Passport of applicant
